Please read the following message from Chris Chittenden, President of the Holt Dimondale Soccer Association:
I apologize for the mass email, but I want to reach as many people as possible to see if there is enough interest in forming a Holt High School Girls' CASL team for the Fall 2016 season.
You can stop reading and ignore the rest of this email if any of the following are true:
1. You/your child already have a soccer team to play on for the fall, or play another sport
2. You/your child have no interest in playing fall soccer
Assuming neither of the above are true...
I would like to find out if we have enough Holt HS girls interested in playing fall soccer in the Capital Area Soccer League (CASL). I know we have quite a few girls that don't play club soccer, so it would be great if we can get them some more experience playing together. Many of you are familiar with CASL, but some may not be. They would play 8 games in the fall against many of the same local communities we play in high school (Okemos, Mason, Haslett, Grand Ledge, etc.). It is very affordable as well. The cost per player is $75 for registration plus uniform cost of $50-75. CASL has financial aid available up to $75, so you could play for as little as $50. Teams typically practice twice per week, and games are on Saturday and/or Sunday (weeknight games are not common, but are possible).
Some of the recipients of this email are parents, and some may be players. For anyone interested in playing, please go tohttp://www.holtsoccer.org/
and register at the second REGISTER HERE link specific for HS girls. We would need around 15 or 16 players to make a team, and can have as many as 22 on the roster (only 18 can play in a single game). The deadline to form a team is July 15th, so we have almost a month to see if there is enough interest. Additionally, we can have up to 3 team officials (any combination of coach, asst. coach, team manager). For any parent interested in volunteering for one of these positions, please indicate this when you register as well.
Feel free to forward this information on to any other Holt HS soccer players/families I may have missed.
If you have any questions, or would like further information, please contact me. Some additional info can also be found at: www.holtsoccer.org
